@Trevor,
Thank you for the great guide. Got it up and running. I do have a minor problem I'm not sure if you can help me with. If you look at our site www.sonicdeathcows.com and then click on any of the other links (about or forums) you'll notice that they are about 20p smaller on either side. I'm not sure where I can go to adjust this.

Also if I adjust the width of the main.tpl file the forum gets bigger but the header and footer do not.

Thank you in advance

Nnyan --

This is a problem with the scrollbar on the page dissapearing and reappearing depending on the length of content on the page.

Explanation of page shift

The fix can be cured by adding the following to the styles in the head of the doc:

html, body { min-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 1px; }

I had a similar issue with the vertical placement of my forum while using the Oxygen style. It was cured by removing the top and bottom padding of the punwrap style. The code ended up looking like the following:

#punwrap { padding: 0 7px; margin: 0; width: 760px; }

Hi, I recently found your guide on how to intergrate punbb into a wordpress theme, and sadly I haven't had quite the desired effect as can be seen here;
http://forlorn.slystuff.com/forum/

What I haven't been able to figure out is why the page is ending up like how it is. So any help on the matter would be much appreciated.

Can't say, really. You might want to try using my my main.tpl file and go from there: http://www.almosteffortless.com/mint/pepper/ord...//www.almosteffortless.com/files/main3.tpl.zip

I've now switched to using the latest main.tpl file you have as suggested. Whilst this has centered the forum itself, it also seems to have centered alot of other things awell.

Not sure if this'll help but I'm currently using the latest version of all three (PunBB, Wordpress and K2).

http://doom.gamesinferno.net/
Is a site that has the effect that I'm aiming for.
Also is there anyway of bringing over K2's random banner effect to work with it?

Edit I've got eveything to fit now using the main.tpl from the site I listed in this post.

However I'm still looking for a way to get the randomised banner effect working.

The random banner can be gotten using any random image script. Here's an example: http://www.alistapart.com/articles/randomizer/

trevor, i have created a add on for the affiliates mod at punres.
what i did was create a banner that rotates on refresh for a simple ad manager.
there is a demo
http://punlancer.com
the affliliates mod is in the download section.

to see all the banners that i have in my rotation
http://nalan.org/advertise.php .

you can include this tag in any php website.

i made it so that many people can plug my banner system into there site and it will keep count on the clicks from nalan.org.

please send me a banner for your site and i will add it for free.
i need baner location and link...

thanks

Hi, I am new to the whole concept of css but i seem to be having some major issues and I don't know where to even begin to trouble-shoot...

The forum I am working on is http://t3hwiz0rd.com/fora

As you can see, it seems to have most of the css stuff there, but its not really "integrating" as its not in the proper border, the sidebar isn't missing... it simply seems to mimic the background and header, but nothing else... Can someone tell me what i need to post here to have it looked at and maybe get a lil insight on what im doing wrong??

Thank you, and btw... love the guide!

Hello, Trevor.

Speaking of the newathens, is there anyway one might be able to contact a member to get in on that?

Much obliged,
Heather

Heather, it's supposed to be an invitation-only site for a small group of friends. So, you'd have to know someone already on the site personally. That's not exactly what I'd envisioned for the site myself, but the users have spoken :)

hello

i am a newcomer. reason - i want to integrate punbb with wordpress. i googled a bit and found the link to here. for now i am little bit dizzy because could not figure out a single path on how to start.

at this point i want to say that i merely started to follow the steps described earlier but found out that my K2 theme (which is RC7) doesn't look like any close to the ones used in the examples. probably i am stuck since you have a younger RC (release candidate) - could you tell me what k2 u r using?

I haven't had an integrated Punbb/Wordpress install for a long time now. I wrote this, which I use instead of that now: http://almosteffortless.com/eldorado/
