I followed the following path to the bug. I haven't tried multiple paths to see if HOW you arrive at the bug effects the bug in any way:

1) log-in
2) click on MY user-name in the "Logged in as username" message.
3) click on "edit profile" under my avatar picture

Where the form label reads "Password (twice)", the first box is already filled in (is it my password? I don't know), and the second box is empty. If I am merely updating my bio, or something, and then quickly click the "Save Changes" button, I get a dialog box:

Would you like to have Password Manager change the stored password for username?

I'm offered two choices, "yes" or "no". I select "no" and get the following error message:

1 error prohibited this user from being saved
There were problems with the following fields:
* Password doesn't match confirmation

The easiest way to fix this, it seems, is to NOT fill that password field by default.

This sounds like something to do with a google or yahoo toolbar. I'm not filling in that value with anything, and there's no "password manager" in El Dorado. Check your browser and plugins and stuff...?

You're right. I'm pretty sure that it's google toolbar's fault.

Sorry about the false alarm!
